There just may not be anything more American than baseball. Generations of American families have planned their summers around frequent trips to the local recreational association facilities to see their kids battle it out on the dusty little league diamonds found in just about every neighborhood (or large Iowan cornfield, if you prefer) in this nation. Those fields of dreams exist to supply the steady stream of hopefuls that later lug their equipment bags each day of the season to high school practice fields where someday the really good  ones might earn the chance to do the same thing in a college or minor league stadium. And then the really, really good ones eventually may even get that coveted shot at the Big Show that The Game’s greatest attained over the many years it has captivated America.  The rest of us who still love it immensely, but who fall a bit short by not having all the right tools (or youth) to continue the upward climb, well…that rest of us are still pleased to take our places on the benches, grassy outfield slopes or air-conditioned skyboxes of whatever passes at that moment for the game of the day. We like to eat hot dogs and sno-cones at the lower end of the baseball venues and maybe craft beers and savory brats at the higher end, but, regardless of the culinary delights available, there is still the same predictable bantering of statistics, merciless deriding of blind umpires, kids tumbling head-over-heals after foul balls and fans just generally enjoying a welcome break from whatever else their lives may hold. It is Americana at its best and all ages, genders, life-styles and temperaments find The Game an irresistible lure. Rivalries are intense, they have to be B’gosh!, but – in baseball – after the game, there’s often an odd camaraderie that is born of being able to extol your team to a buddy from the “other” side in good-natured jest – even a universal expectation that it must be that way; a protocol; a baseball tradition; a mandatory event.

At Malone Air we like the culture of Americana. It fits who we are as a company. We are good enough to play at the highest levels in our “game” and we are as competitive as anyone’s all-star business, but we are still “baseball friendly”. We just like the kind of stuff that baseball brings to the table. So, we decided to celebrate The Game and to team up with another local business that makes baseball dreams come true – just like Malone Air lets people explore their own travel dreams. We at Malone Air have joined with the venerated Jacksonville Suns (the very training grounds for scores of true legends of The Game) to offer a really big chance to live what is thought to be a fantasy for most. On September 8, 2013, one Jacksonville Suns fan and up to three of his or her friends, associates and/or family members will get the chance to fly to a Miami Marlins baseball game on that Sunday afternoon aboard a Malone corporate aircraft. That fan will be graciously served every step of the way: catered food and beverages en route to Miami, a personal driver to and from their incredible new stadium, great seats and snacks at the game and a memorable flight home that evening. All you have to do is enter the contest, win the drawing, pick your travel companions, drive up to the door of your jet-powered business aircraft at the appointed time and – Voila! – just hop aboard. The rest is what private air travel is all about.  You’ll watch those fellas who had all the right stuff to make The Big Show…several were just recently the stars of the Jacksonville Suns…and you’ll be whisked there by crew members who perform at the top of their profession, too. Here’s what you do:

  1. ATTEND A SUNS HOME GAME BETWEEN NOW AND SEPTEMBER 1ST
  2. BUY A 2013 SUNS PROGRAM AND TURN TO PAGE 37
  3. FILL OUT THE ENTRY FORM AND DROP IT IN THE CONTEST ENTRY BOX
  4. WORK YOUR BEST BASEBALL MOJO
  5. WIN THE FINAL DRAWING ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2013
  6. THEN JUST FASTEN YOUR SEATBELT

We know this could be the trip of a lifetime for some fortunate Suns fan and his or her travel buddies. Listen for our Malone Air-Jax Suns ads on WBOB/AM 600 for more details and watch for our soon-to-be released (15 Jul 13) website flymalone.com.  Your dream is but one contest entry form away.
